About me

I have always been an adventurer with a love for languages and very little fear of making myself look ridiculous. My adventures took me to jobs and other life-changing experiences in Africa, America, Greece, Italy, Nepal and Spain. This meant that of the more than 6 languages I speak, the majority I learned in situ, whilst working and living with local people. Having experienced many times what it is like to learn a new language with all the mistakes and pitfalls, I discovered that it could be fun and exciting as well as hard work. I then went back to the UK and got my qualifications to teach English as a Foreign Language before ending up in the north of Spain. I never ask my students to do what I wouldn’t have done whilst learning the languages I can speak.

For me, life is still a big adventure full of possibilities to learn from the people I teach, to enrich and be enriched and to continue enjoying discovering new possibilities. This is why I have also gained qualifications and experience in coaching, international negotiations, interpreting and public speaking, to name but a few. One language is never enough!
